Noo Noo Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 LOL bit of an eye opener really. Makes you think. No one ever told him how to hold a guitar so he did what he felt was best. Food for thought. Quote

neenaw Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Personally I think David Gilmour is one of the best ever, Comfortably Numb and Nobody Home are two of his best:) John Mayer is pretty special as well. I watched a video of him jamming with John Frusciante and Derek Trucks on the Rolling Stone website a while back....It was good stuff! Quote
windy Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 All effects and comedy outfit! Effects and comedy outfits didn't do Kiss any harm. But yeah, that clip sounds like every guitar run that The Edge has ever done and The Edge was Owned by Bill Bailey's pizz take of his guitar sound style. Quote
Noo Noo Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 If you want to hear something really unique find something by Keziah Jones. Mix of Blues, Funk with an African twist. Quote
Red Panda Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Along with Gilmour, Clapton, Santana who are my favorites ever what about Brian May from Queen. Quote

br d Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Only just seen this thread. All good suggestions so far but if you want something out of the ordinary the John Butler is ridiculously good. An 11 String guitar with strange tunings. Try this first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VAkOhXIsI0 The video gets a bit out of sync but he is playing the bass part as well. Then if you like slide, this: brad Quote
