flexi_dan
hey guys.. I broke my skate truck yesterday on my comp 6.. and obv need to reaplce it.. would it be worth me buying marix lites or keep stay with skates?? I really like the feel / lightness of skates but dont really want them to snap again.. I dont really want my board any heavier either.... Cheers Dan
smegg
I don't have a huge experience, but riding for a year and a half on matrix lites mostly on sand and they were knackered. Needed so many replacements you could have bought two sets of skates! If you are mainly grass then this probably won't be an issue. If you really want matrix the lites aren't really worth the extra for a few drilled bits IMHO (80grams each, whoo hoo!). I have swapped to Vectors, like them a lot, but only had two sessions on them so far.
BoooSt
had matrix...runined them and got scrub skates...i rekon the skates are better.
kiter_ryan
If you like the skates Dan, stick with them...Matrix lites are a much different ride to skates.. Cheaper as well. Were you riding scrub skates? Or MBS skates?

windy
I suggest you give the scrub skate style trucks a go. The ones with the beefed up axle (12mm). They're definately stronger than run of the mill skate trucks. Oh yeah, You'll need to get different bearings though.
Bertie
even with the 12mm axle, the rest can fail. iv snapped 2 baseplates in 1 go before. still plan to stay with skates

Tyler Durden
Have you seen the Vector trucks? Something between a skate and a channel truck.
