I spied some bargains at my local surf shop! is it as simple as buying a 5'8 to 6' normal surfboard and waxing it up a lot and then hilariously learning to ride it strapless?

if so im sorted!.......finally

Get a Bic. Hard as feck - I drove over mine once - no problem. :)

You cant treat normal surf boards like you do kite boards. Most are made from a foam interior coated by fiberglass or epoxy resin. Chip the resin and the foam starts soaking up the water. Bics are different - they is plastic. Do what the feck you want with em - dig holes with em, drop em, throw em. Happy days.

I tried strapless with my NSP 7'6 today for the first time. Was the funniest thing ever. I just couldn't get on the bugger. Waves kept on knocking it away from me too, any lil tips would be apprectiated.

Its not the waves that will trash a custom type surf board its your heals. there not glased strong enough to cope with the constant pounding.

Pop outs, NSP, Bic etc are stronger but heavy. Or if youve got the money go fro a Surftech but i think you will still put heal dents in that but not to the same extent
