Capt Slog Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 A true cat looks like this: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a394/Sand-Yeti/Animals/BDromeCaterpillar06-1.jpg This is in fact a Royal cat: Latin Name being Cat-ER-Pillar LOL nice one! Many years ago I used to go beating for a local shoot. I was given a brace of pheasants one day, I came home absolutely knackered and put them on the kitchen floor, and forgot all about them. When I woke up next morning I realised that I'd left the birds with the cat! I went downstairs expecting to see the cat's attempt at butchery, e.g blood and feathers everywhere, but to my surprise the pheasants were intact next to the back door where I'd left them. However, there was now also a dead sparrow, neatly lined up alongside the pheasants. I suppose the cat thought that this is where we were now keeping dead animals. Quote
Anne1599968726 Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 My cat was a vicious wee terror! He used to catch and maim small animals and various birds, and play with them on the lawn until they got boring. Then he'd let the dog eat them. Worked out well His crowning glory (before he was run over in revenge for killing next-door's kids rabbit) was capturing seagulls they were bigger than him! He did it twice, but he left one alive and badly maimed, my dad had to kill it off. All this violence from the runt of the litter, I shudder to think what the rest of his siblings got up to Quote
Skydude Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 My cat only brings in one or two catches a night, trouble is most of the time they are alive and completely well. It's then my job to try and catch them and relocate them to the field behind the house.. I've got a complete set of different size tupperware for different sized mammals. Last night I was chasing a wood mouse around my dining room who was a particularly good jumper, was jumping approx a foot straight up... Anyway now it's back with its family living in fear of Maisie the monster..lol Quote

Munky Boy Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 We've got a Bee's nest in the back garden and our three cats just sit next to it catching and eating them. It don't matter how mant times they get stung they still go back for more. Shame the three or them do not tackle the family of rats we have in the river in our front garden:eek: big wimps. Quote
