hey guys! i am planning on going for my first play this weekend in tassie.

i am in adelaide for work at the moment and tried to get lessons but the weather has been against us and have only done the safty and about 4 mins of actual kit flying.

i have purchased an air-rush flow 12m and pro-toy board and also looking at getting a secondhand air rush DNA 9m to get used to body dragging and to reduce the risk of crashing my new kite.

if any one has any tips and ideas for me and locatons for this weekend that would be worth looking at

suggestions so far are stanly and port sorrel

any tips and advice for a begginer would be very wecome

ps. i am planning on returning to adelaide for the remainder of my lessons as soon as funds allows it

cheers justin

I would have been the guy that suggested Port Sorell and Stanley. From a learning point of view I don't think you will get anywhere better, both places offer opportunities to kite in waist deep water when the tide is right with flat water. I'm sure the Hobart crew could offer some suitable places also, but their launch sites may not be quite as good ( I am ready to stand corrected ie Ralphs Bay). Stay up North where the water is warm (ish).

Again keep an eye on the tide, dead low is not great anywhere but a few hours either side of high is the go, especially the East inlet. If you're short on time you can kite at any tide but you need to be prepared to walk a little bit.

I`ll be out at Freers beach today depending on the wind of course.

Ando ended up with some of your clothes ,it must have been that bottle of red

combined with that electric fence.
