conor Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 something cheap as ultimately it probably wont be really fun. what about getting a surfboard or skimboard instead of a new kite? Quote
kiteingcolin Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 try a warroo 11mtr, i get away with a 13 mtr as my light wind choice, so ruddy powerfull it's shocking! Quote
keyrb101 Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 venom 19 = no pumping, gets me going from 10 knots and small jumps on my big board. Quote
AliB Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 gotta admit after today i believe the turbo diesel is actually the best low wind bow. when wind got light at fleetwood today that was THE only kite on water at times. and when it was out on its own it was still stayin upwind. incredible kite. Kite Kid Posted April 8, 2007 Author Report Posted April 8, 2007 o yer i forgot to mention no waroos awful kites Quote

Kite Kid Posted April 8, 2007 Author Report Posted April 8, 2007 u guys are so lucky ainsdALE SOUNDS WICKED IF BEEN OFF COLLAGE 4 2 WEEKS AND HAVE HAD NO WIND Quote
Blue Ice Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Sometimes i look at some posts and laugh... Just because someone is on a kite in low wind you think its a great kite, maybe the chap or lass who was on the kite maybe 9 stone? The lighter you are the less wind you can go in if you have kite skill !! Quote
AliB Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 i was on the kite at the time and there were 6 stone kids not going on 11m. that better for you? Quote
paulie_amoose Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 i was on the kite at the time and there were 6 stone kids not going on 11m. that better for you? I dunno..... Are you any good....? Quote
Tone Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 19m Speed2 but for someone lighter the 12 or 15 is a better option. Quote
CoyoteBoy Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I wont go past my 18m (12-17kts), after that its just dull trudgery and id rather be scraping my eyeballs out with an ice pick. Quote
Paulo1599968582 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I was impressed by the new 15m speed 2, And that is after in recent times starting to dislike bigger flysurfers. Demo'd one yesterday in 8-14knots £1200 is a bit of a big price tag though, As for earlier post, 19m venom - great kite, but pretty useless in really light stuff for me - 14 stone, My mates Sonic 14 has a better low end!!!! (compared on same board) Quote
L3NNY Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 just ordered a new 2006 RRD HIR 24M very very cheap! could not turn it down for this price ! though it would be a bit of a light wind fun toy Range is supposed to be 6 to 15 knots max...............i hope so.? Wanted something to mess around on a skim/wakeskate in the harbours when the wind is as bad as it is at the moment im 90kg will let ya know if its any good when i get out on it ! i have the new 07 fuels but the 17m i have is still not realy for these super light winds so will see what happens with the 24m RRD !!............
