vtrdaz Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Anyone know what old hunstanton beach is like at the moment ?- might be making a trip there sunday. Cheers Daz Quote
RossRobObey Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Tides are lowest around 12 noon. Not sure of the condition of the beach, but if it's like it usually is, it will be 'puddly' and probably quite all round 'get your kite dirty'. I would be up there, but I have a rugby game in the morning. But I should think it will be ok. Quote
vtrdaz Posted March 31, 2007 Author Report Posted March 31, 2007 is it worth a 200 mile round trip? Daz Quote
RossRobObey Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Well the weather was good today, wind was awesome aswel. So if it's like this tomorrow, I say yes. You will need to clean your kit afterwards, but yeah I'd say it was worth it. Quote
kitesurfa Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 is it worth a 200 mile round trip? Daz Depends how much you want to go... Not always the best for landboarding - no real guarantee until you get there but 9 time out of 10 its very ripply. If you are heading over read the posts in the restrictions section about where to setup and fly Quote
RossRobObey Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Yeah, I should have said. Make sure you're at least 200 (preferbally 500m) right of the entrance to the beach. Quote
vtrdaz Posted March 31, 2007 Author Report Posted March 31, 2007 Thanks chaps - head north up the beach 1/2k or so? Daz Quote
RossRobObey Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Yeah just until you're well out of the way of the public. Quote
