Any info on clacton on sea?

 

looks like the only wind around this weekend is gonna be on the east coast.never been over there before were's the best place to ride?

does it work ok on easterly's? herd somthing about martello tower?

looked on google earth and it looks quite good(some type of sandy bays conected by groyne's) ?as your looking in from the sea...on the left hand side of the peir?

 

travelling from swindon so need as much info as poss not to wast a journey....i need to get out !!!!!

is frinton a better place to ride,where is it in relation to martello beach?

yea clactons not bad in the right wind, just make sure everyone surfing down there has insurance, and especially frinton. frintons more regulated, clactons not bad in an easterly of the right speed. if you dont like surfing in deep water or 2 inch water check the tides cos it goes from nothing to way way over your head, and the beach has a sharp gradient where the tide moves. also theres a small patch of sharp rocks in the middle of the bay so wear bootys or watch your step in the shallows...and dont hit the boat.

Cheers Guys Yes we are all INsured, Go's without saying realy........

looks like we are heading back down south now, not so far to travel,as the winds have now picked up,thanks for the info will be comming over for a weekend session soon !
