natway2000 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Had our first snowkite session of the season yesterday at Les Croset, just over the swiss side from Avoriaz. Sweet session had a bad start with dropping off a windlip in to deep powder and getting stuck in a little gully. Once we were off Great times until the mad dash for the lift,we thought 17:00 oh no we rock up at 1645 lift closed 1630 mad run for it to the other lift closing at 1645. Would have been a long night stuck on the swiss side. The Sabre's performed well,Floody1969 on the 9.5 and me on the 11.5.The wind a bit lumpy and keeped swinging. All in all a good afternoon sesh. floody1969 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I am so happy. Been gasing about going snowkiting for 2 years now and that session was the first time I'd actually been able to move anywhere. Spent the whole season in Val d'Isere last year waiting for the right conditions/location but they never arrived. Nathans fall in the big dip was quite funny. Didn't actually see the fall as I was busy trying to untagle my lines and bar. Eventually I looked up to see Nathan looking quite huffy trudging around in deep snow trying to get the kite into a lauchable position. Respect though. The bomb hole where he landed was a fair distance from the wind lip he failed to see soon enough ;-) -jason Quote
