a jigsaw with a medium tooth blade set on a medium speed will do it - large teeth blades get smoothed off real quick and fine teeth blades and too quicker speed on the saw just melt the deck and it reseals behind the blade.

Also measure and remeasure before you cut as any fluff ups can't be fixed!!!!!!

Can post some pics of my old 35 degree I reshaped if ya fancy??

Need some advice on how and with what to shape my trampa deck.

any thoughts or recommendations?

cheers

I just masked my deck and drew the shape ,with ordinary masking tape

I used an electric jigsaw with a metal blade in it. Just wear a mask as the fibres given off arnt to pleasant , Then just sand down the edges with a bit of fine sandpaper again wear a mask .

This is my attempt .

Hope this helps . Good luck with the reshape :)

angus has reshaped one of his trampas and its a massive improvement!

trucks moved as far towards the middle as the tips will allow making it stiffer and meaning the trips can be trimmed. increased stiffness was countered by wasting the board across the middle, getting the flex back to what it was previously and getting more weight off :)

@ BooBoo - would like to see photo

@ Mike, does it change the characteristics of the board? Weight, flex, Stability?

Anyone else done any re-shaping?

moving the trucks in to the centre raises the ride height and therefore your centre of gravity slightly - it also makes the deck stiffer - thinning out the waist of the board gives more flex, best to do it a little at a time til you get the feel you like.

Pics and ideas for ya. on these threads.....

@Boo Boo board looks good, however what's the deck Tyler D shows in the first attached thread?

Just brought his Revo's and think that looks like a good route to head down.

as ally said, i butchered my old board and i love the difference it made...

i wouldnt bother with jigsaw to be honest... i ran out of blades too quick and resorted to a big wood saw, went trough it really nicely...

also buy a surform for smoothing it...

cant find a link to my thread on my trampa reshape... will post later if i find it

bigdog did his, used no end of blades! the trampa has to be one of the greatest materials, made from recycled plastic, lots of pop and tough as hell!

does any one know of anyone who has actually broke one?

Used a sharp, medium toothed bit in an electric jigsaw, not too fast. Worked very well - no probs at all.
