sym170 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 if any of you are members of race kites and/or seka, you will know of leytonchesses (kevin cheeseman). he recently passed away, and a lot of us from seka and racekites are helping out, by donating a couple of pounds (or more) to the charity he supported, MIND. every penny counts! this link contains some information about kevin and the charity he supported. donations can be made easily, through pay pal. http://www.racekites.com/home/home.asp Quote
Martin_R Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Kevin was only 31 and contributed a lot of advice on racekites & was an active flyer on hackney marshes & will be sadly missed, so please help remembering a fellow flyer by supporting this worth while cause. Quote
BooBoo Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 Seriously saddened by this news - Kevin was a real kiter who contributed back to the sport more than most - these days a rare commodity....:0( Quote
Sand-Yeti Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 I never met the man but had lots of fun exchanges with him. He seemed like a really great guy and I will miss his banter. Deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. Sand-Yeti Quote
Farno Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Dropped a few quid to MIND via the link on racekites. My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. Quote

Sturmovik Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 With great shock to hear of the passing of Leytoncheeses, he always had a friendly word for me, without doubt a thoroughly decent chap. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Quote
pierre Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Bump until I register on paypal and then I will bump again! Quote
Rebble Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Leytoncheeses a truly funny guy, never preached and though our exchanges were only via forums it sad to hear he's gone. Kevin if there is a heaven then it's a huge skypark with no trees and a big beach at one end and god bought you a new buggy and a board and laid on some choice kites with a BBQ and some cool beers. Rest easy Quote
johnkiteman Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 It was Kev's funeral today - I think many of us spent a quiet moment remembering. Quote
