MattPlanet Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 So what exactly is the point on posting a thread asking for opinions, then contradicting yourself competely and ignoring them? Hey numb nuts lay off this lad. He obviously has made his mind up from the advice given. YAWN But did he not want "chunky trucks"? Skates were suggested, he said no, then decides he wants them. What a waste of time... Quote
Angoose Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 because they were advised to the guy by lots of people on here Quote
RB Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 What I dont get is you want something Chunky and will spend £40 per truck! for £80 you could easily get some 2nd hand revos! or virtually anything else!?!?!? if cost is your deciding factor then go for 2nd hand kit!!! Quote
Lem Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 I agree with Rb. If you're willing to go to £40 a truck then there's some better options than skate turcks available - 2nd hand revos are rare, but my 2 year old ones still run like new. Some of the MBS matrix trucks can get excessive wear around the central bearing so look out for that if buying a 2nd hand pair. If you want light and cheap though, you can't go too wrong with some skate trucks, although they will bend if you go hard on them. Quote
spooky Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 hmm the thing is i want some chunky looking trucks not skates.. But i dont want it to be too heavy and expensive Why chunky??? If not doing SK8's then you are left with some form of Channel, either standard ali/steel ones or Matrix or Revo's? Remember you will NEED a 30/35' deck for ALL channels. Though Revo's will work on any angle deck. So make up your mind BEFORE you by the deck? Good luck. Jon Quote
Lolage Posted November 20, 2006 Author Report Posted November 20, 2006 The reason i have gone to trucks because my budget plan has gone horribly wrong and i can no longer afford £40 per truck etc. Skates will be the way i go.. Thank you. Quote
