Sad Pander Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 I have a Scrub Ejector with skate trucks, can anyone advise on how to stiffen the sideways movement? Can I just give the large nut on the middle a good tighten or do I need a change the rubber shock type thingy? Just a thouhgt as Ilike to know these things!!!! Quote
mkratty Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 if your bushes are worn and there is play ,tighten the nut .if the nut is already against the bush and tight get some harder bushes . i used doh doh's the white ones .you can get them from any skate shop. Quote
morleyman200 Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 give the nut in the middle a large tighten works for me Quote
Neebie Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 i prefer em loose caught by a gust just get hoiked down wind....... that n i love carving so better for me Quote
Sad Pander Posted August 19, 2006 Author Report Posted August 19, 2006 Thanks for the feedback... The "large tighten" solved the problem so looking forward to a test run tomorrow.. Quote
wenglish Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 i tried having tight trucks but as with my sk8 board ive found my rideing is much smoother and more rexlaxed if they are lose, ive seen one fella with them running so lose that it rocks from side to side, tired this for 5 mins and tightend it up, changing the rubber bushes works wonders, i run on clouds (see most sk8 shops for new bushes) some are harder giving a longer life clouds dont last very long (about 6 months on a standerd sk8 board ive found) but they are smoth and cushy. Sad Pander Posted August 19, 2006 Author Report Posted August 19, 2006 Being new to kite boarding I was trying to stiffen up the board to stop the wobble that indicates good chance of a meeting with the grass is coming up. As I get better I guess a little looser will help me slide the board at the end of the run. I will put the spanner in the kit bag for some onsite adjustment! Quote
wenglish Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 to combat speed wobble lean back. i get the wobble almost instantly, i just lean further back (this puts a lot of faith in your kite though) or try positive stearing to get out of it (ie some short carving turns). works well for me, also the lose trucks seem to handle bad landing slightly better as they move and take the bad angles better. just a few thoughts stu Quote
