not a bad guide to get the theory down..there are a few out there. As for kites, the phantom is a cracker yea..but for learning to board with..hmmm..i dunno.

The trouble is with being 'hooked' into the harness all the time. This will make for a very steep learning curve..which will involve you gettin dragged off your board a lot..lol

Get a cheap 2nd hand bar for for your bullet to learn the basics on the board, in the meantime practice static flying with your Phantom 'hooked' in to get a feel for the kite..

mate a 9m phantom is fine for learning. i started using my 9m phantom on the 2nd session i'd had on a board.

my first session was a blade iii.

and i was hooked in.

i found easyer hooked in as the kite's pull is lower so i didn't get pulled of the board.

Nothing wrong with the 9m at all…. Mmm but it is a very high wind kite and really needs a good 20 mph + to be decent, above 25 and it will be sweet… so I hate to say if you brought it to use in 10-20 mph it will be too small, if that’s what your after the 12 would have been better but again that will not go in 10mph more like 15 +. Arcs need quite a bit of wind hence why a lot of people go for 13/15 or 18 sizes.

Hi thanks for the advice just about to read through that link

kiter_ryan its a bullet 5.5 i love it to bits but just cant keep it in control and balance at the same time on a board:rolleyes: im stick thin anyway so the bullet pulls me even in slight winds:D

i was told to try a phantom as the depowerabillity will make it a tad easyer
