benkay
Can gura01 supply a swan-neck himself, or did u all buy standard and have one made up in the UK? Looking to get into buggying, what options are worth asking RS for?? Or just buy standard, mostly will be used on grass.... Cheers, Ben
Maverick440
Yes Ralf can supply a swan neck ether at point of order or as a seperate item.... However i did moddify my original down tube alonf with that of Spiritfliers....
alastair_m
Does anyone know how much Ralf charges for a swan neck? Also does anyone sell a bolt on back rest? I don't want to weld one in place as the buggy has to be split down.
Bushy99
Does anyone know how much Ralf charges for a swan neck? Also does anyone sell a bolt on back rest? I don't want to weld one in place as the buggy has to be split down. Best bet is to email Ralph....he sent me the prices but confused the hell out of me:D Trickbitz sells boltable backrests, give him a shout:cool:
Maverick440
Ive got a feeling that Swan necks are about 25 euros plus postage but dont quote me on that one..................... As Bushy says, try Trickbitz for a back rest................. The back rest makes a big diffrence to the comfort on the RS, mines that comfy now i could sleep in it.............................:D:D:D
Bushy99
The back rest makes a big diffrence to the comfort on the RS, mines that comfy now i could sleep in it.............................:D:D:D Yep Maverick is right, I'm trying to incorporate a tent arrangement into mine for next year's Wallop. Bushy99
Right, I am now officially pished off with trying to shape a polyprop barrel to form a mudguard:mad: Need some GRP layup. Update to follow:o
Maverick440
Yep, GRP is the way to go. Ive got a nice one in Orange on my RS.................. Bushy, ill take some picks and post them, as i also made a mod to the forks in order to get the gaurd close to the wheel...... I never made a mold for the RS bugy gaurd as i cut and shut one from the mould i made for the V-flex............
Bushy99
Orange you say.....I'm shocked LOL Post some pics and I will get some lay up:D
Bushy99
Can any one say how close is the RS to a VMAX clone. Just trying to source a belly pan and I need to know is VMAX dimesions would be OK Thanx
Maverick440
Dont think the V-max belly pan will fit as the frame rail angles are to shallow. I think a Libre Special is a closer bet regarding frame rail angles.
Bushy99
Thanks Mark, Thought it was more special than vmax. Cheers Mark
Bushy99
OK, next question. Is the front end more vmax than special.....it looks it to my untrained eye:(
