hi,

Cheers for the comments, i did do reasearch into the suspension and as far as i could see it would be better to have individual, but then also thinking of the work load and complexity, fell back to a solid rear axle,

as for the second design it is jsut a quick demonstational paint bodge up, and meant mearly to show the idea, as was the other,

the project is mainly just to practise work, but also the underlining idea is that we solve the problem best we can, so individual would be best

i will keep you informed, and keep firing designs your way if thats alrite, as this is a handy way of getting peoples opinions who may look at buying a buggy of the like,

cheersf or the help again

Ya gonna make ya self loads of hard work and extra weight there....

Ya wonna be thinking along the lines of no suspension but a bit of flex at the back with a material the will return to its proper shape and sprung seating, mounted with shock cord..

Just an idea I've had for the last 3 years since getting airborne..

All I can say is the 6.6 is bloody good for climbing hills, maybe even better than the 8.5 just cos it kite loops so fast. I still love the float of the Frenzy though.

8.5 was looking seriously floaty with Sparkie and ADZ dangling below. Just when you thought oh **** they are gonna fall like a truck from 7-8ft she comes overhead and then it looks like a skydiver has just deployed the parachute.

Shoulda got some on vid. The song that's just come on wmp seems appropriate for the soundtrack: Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine - "Bloodsport for All". :)

Design looks pretty good... Is it for a Flexi Bug ?

Only thing i can say is that you want to move the tubing for the side rail mounts more towards the top of the down tube, as the current config will not give the wheel any up / down movement only front to rear.

I was thinking of putting some suspension on my bug but using air suspension in stead of spring

hi,

no it is for a peter lyn buggy but yes the same idea applies with the angle on the fixing tubes.

i have taken this into account it was just alot easier in cad to draw them at a 90 degree angle.

cheers for the comments and keep them coming
