FO Kite Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Heading up to Holyhead tomorrow. Thought I might take the buggy with me:D . What's the score with Rhosneigr beach? Is it still possible to get access from the Valley end. Is the beach good for buggys? F/O Kite Quote

martincooke Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 is it any good for buggying here Quote
Plezzy Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Martin, Rhossi is great for buggies (if wind in the west). Sand usually very hard and flat . Access from the town does mean crossing a stream (or river if in flood!). Best to cross at the waterline as it deltas and becomes wider but shallower. On the plus side, the river keeps the number of peeps down. I did chat with a min-landyachter who'd accessed the beach from the far end of the next bay (not sure where). HOWEVER, flying is prohibited in the 2nd bay (from town) as it's on the flight path. It would we quite a walk if that's the way you came in. Quote
