Ponte_ste Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Any ideas when the gates are locked? cheers Tom it'll be about half 6/ 7 i would of thought by now, but there is a sign as you go in telling you what time exactly. see you saturday Quote
louisemarson Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 There is always a sign at the gate. Please check the time every time you go as they are different at weekends than weekdays. Quote
mkratty Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 had a epic session today at fraise ,it must have been the best day of the year . we had a sweet onshore 12-15mph and was very clean . i think its the first time ever that ive been able to do a run from south shore to barmston drain without a tack . amazin day Quote
mkratty Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 was that on water or land??? on the land !!.it was a bit lighter wind for the water . south shore to barmston drain is aprox 4-5 miles i would say Quote
gregh Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I was hoping you were going to say the 12m got you up and planing in 12mph winds Quote
DreadedTom Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 When out on Sat the sand was amazingly soft in some places and hard packed in others. Is this something to do with how high the tide gets up as in the past we've always found the hardness pretty even along the beach? Made it practically imposible to use my board with its silly little wheels! On the plus side i did have a bash in the buggy....Having hated buggies for the past 2 years it looks like i may have to buy on myself, theyre actually quite fun Tom Quote
LetoII Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 bugying is the way forward! Fraisey always has soft patches in my experience: if you see my buggy upside down somewhere in the middle of the beach, thats the soft patch! lol anyway guys, some pictures from the sunday are now online here: http://letoii.no-ip.org/Kiting/Fraisethorpe%2015-10-06.htm Enjoy and thanks for everyone who made it such a good session, especially Stupid for making me do silly things Quote
