Anti-virus

I currently use AVG and am pretty happy with it.

 

However, my broadband is via BT and I have the option of using theirs for free.

 

What do you techie typres reckon?

Why change if you are happy.. AVG is free, updates regularly and finds viruses... What more do you want

 

The "best" anti-virus software changes on a daily basis based on who has the most up-to-date virus files...

i use norton (not the xp style activation). no problems with that. Frre ones seem to be slow with updates i feel

FB: AVG is fine, i have always had problems with norton software, too bloated and hogs resources. stick with what you have if that's what they're offering. on the other hand i'm currently running mcafee and it's quite good, keeps in the background out of my way and detects virii, can't ask for much more than that:D

I use AVG too on a few PCs at home, thought about using the free Telewest anti-virus but found out that it only works on one PC at a time Check the BT one isn't equally braindead if you're tempted to swap.

Used to use Norton, but as TLW says.. it's a resource hog..

I've just added Avast along side AVG

 

It found 7 things on it's first deep scan that AVG hadn't found:confused:
