a long shot i know, but does anyone have [at home or work] the NAG fortran library for windows? i'm trying to port an old SGI program to windows, and there is just one function that it uses from the NAG library, which we only have for linux. so if anyone would be willing to compile it for me under windows there would definitely be a drink in it for you;) and i might even finish my phd!!

omg, is that still around?

I remember using the NAG library at uni using fortran 77 on a pc, makes me feel dirty just thinking about it :)

Dont have the libraries now though im afraid.

What is the function, some nasty non linear equations shinanigens?

Is it not possibel to download the libraries?

Good luck! Matt

it is a "quasi-Newton algorithm for finding a minimum of a function" E04JYF

i had looked at rewriting it, but it looked hard..

also looked at buying it, but you have to buy the whole library, and it costs £700 which the uni won't pay for me to use one function. especially since they've got it for linux.
