Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 hey guys, just wondering about some gear to start off with, i weigh around 70-75KG and i am around 170cm tall, i have nearly finished my lessons then will look more deeply into getting some decent gear to start with. any ideas? thanks, andy! haydenz Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 I'm 60 kg and the same height as you and i fly a 9m instinct sport, my friends a bit taller and about the same weight as you and he flies a 9m cabrina omega, and my other friend is about the same again and he flies an 8m switchy 2 - but it depends on the wind range ur after - we go out in about 17 - 30 knots Quote

haydenz Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 have you got out into the water in your lessons yet? try going into shops and spending some time talking to the staff about what they think, also since shops are atleast a little biased on what they are selling ask people on the beach about there kites, also if you can try as many as possible. but if you ask anyone about there kite they all love them so its really upto what you want and are used to.
