zippysurf Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Get yourself down to westwood ho .Buggying in the day . Depends where you want to be based . The pubs in Bideford are normally Buzzing . Barnstaple is ok . A across the bay Croyde is normaly packed at the weekends . But no buggying on Croyde or Saunton . Westwood ho village is a bit of a ghost town in the eves. You could Get some surfing lessons in two and make it a fun time in sunny Devon . New buggiers alway welcome . Kev . Quote
mickjones Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 hi have you looked at heading a bit further west - deep into cornwall? you've got the huge expanse of sand at gwithian which is of course near St Ives and Penzance if you want good nightlife, cheap accomm. and great seafood restaurants or what about watergate bay? massive buggying beach, newquays hectic nightlife and masses of choice for places to eat and stay then you can travel up and down the coast at low tide, and finf a myriad of beaches woth no one on them, and so far no bans! the variety of beaches and different facing aspects mean that in the newquay area you get a lot of choice no matter what the wind direction i have been kitesurfing and buggying each day this last week and the week before with NO ONE around and the entire beach to myself and the missus check my site - www.newquayextreme.com for some pics of the beaches, a list of accommodation, a daily wind report and map for the area, and a link to a rather good kiteschool should you wish to to demo some new gear or just want a bit of advice on what beach to use speak to the guys at www.skyhooked.net - freindly advice on kiting in the newquau area and where to get drunk at night!!
