Inspired by Callum's score, I had a go this morning. I added over 200rpm to my PB :D

My new score is 12,473 which moves me up the Flexi league from 10th to 6th, which is nice.

How dissapointing.... :( :p

Was kind of hoping for something a little bit more substantial .... :D

But you don't know what the surprise is!! ;)

Nice one Nolan. I'd say you're fifth really...Russ's 12,599 on my ball was a bit of a one-off really...I've got a quick one. (You could probably do 12.9k on it easily, and I seriously reckon Calum could top 14k with it.)

Anyone else combined powerballing with other activities?
Driving!?

When I'm doing endurance, I find that running rapidly on the spot helps. You know, when you pump your feet as little and as fast as possible? When I do that my arms pump in fast, small movements too...perfect for maintaining a consistent 11,000 revs or so.

Something I don't recommend doing while Powerballing is trying to drink a hot cup of coffee!

Normally I powerball while at the same time saying to my Mrs "am I annoying you yet .... am I annoying you yet ... amI annoying you yet?" ... the answers normally yes in case you were wondering! :D

I think powerballing should be kept in the closet ... lets face it it looks down right wierd doing it! Like some mad deviant body abuse  . And having just read Adrena1in's thread about running on the spot ... I nearly PMSL!! :D

I recently went on holiday with a bunch of lads skiing and so I took the powerball. One of the guys really got hooked but the rest just took the pish! Having seen a video of myself doing it I can see why!

It's fantastic cardio-vascular exercise though! Powerball in each hand, bent forward, running on the spot as rapidly as possible. I'm going to go to a Gym one day and do it...see what reactions I get!!

I heard theat Neon Powerballs dont go as fast as the regular 250hz ones...
That is true...a small amount of the energy is expended lighting up the LEDs. But anything and Andhill were both using Neons in the competition, and they came first and third respectively. Not sure if Mookster was using a Neon too. My record with an old 250Hz is 12991...my record with the Neon was about 12450. With a new 250Hz I got about 12650.

All a bit different.

...my Powerball is making a weird clunking noise and sounds pretty unhealthy.
Happens when they get a bit tired. Best thing is to get it spinning up pretty fast and maintain a high speed for as long as possible. Really smooths them out. Otherwise, take off the rubber grip, unscrew the little screws, pop the thing open using a vice and give it a good clean.

I heard theat Neon Powerballs dont go as fast as the regular 250hz ones, thats my excuse for a crap score! I'm currently at 11104 and my Powerball is making a weird clunking noise and sounds pretty unhealthy. O well i'll keep trying.

the neon balls aren't as fast, but i still got a neon green to over 13.4k, so they are still very fast

Got mine today through the post.

Have just got 11126 with only the second time I got "it going" ;) . Cant be bad for a beginer?

Left had is stil down in the 7K's though:rolleyes: .

11126 is pretty good for a first time, yes. Some people get the knack straight away. Tone did about a thousand more than you on his first go! I was around 10k I think.

13k is on my horizon. Did a little warm up with my Metal Ball last night, then took the 250 Hz and squeezed out 12803 straight away, without really trying my hardest. I'll see what I can do tonight, but those sorts of speeds do aggravate my shoulder injury a little. I should go steady and mend that first really! ;)

Powerballs.com do offer a lifetime warranty...if anything's broke just return it and they'll sort it for free. They're great like that.

However, if it's just running a bit noisy, a good clean and then run it at 8,000 to 9,000 revs for several minutes will really smooth it out! ;)
