Mouthwash Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Hi Gang We got so popular we've been closed down!! So, here's Thread #2: lets keep in touch and meet up when we can...... Cheers Quote
gregh Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Well done Chris. Summary of Leeds (closish) flying sites taken from the old thread: bramley fall woods, close to armley road, tree free, lots of space, Priesthorpe school sports field at pudsey on a weekend, watch the pylon!!!! or horsforth park off the ring road, pontefract park, from leeds, M1, M62, junc 31, 15 minute run. Roundhay Park - big open spaces, some issues with park wardens saying only static flying allowed. Tinsill Top Bedquilts : large field, surrounded by houses, with trees and goalposts on the field, hence gusty winds. Its just off the A660 head out of Leeds past Bodington Hall then take a right just after the esso station: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse....,West+Yorkshire Its where it says 'Adel' on the map. Chevin Field: Park at Surprise View (opposite the Royalty) and walk east against the wall. When the wall ends there's a fairly large field there.too small for buggying but good enough for static flying. Weetwood field -behind weetwood police st near Lawnswood roundabout on the A660 Beaches - each beach has it's own thread REDCAR, its actually closer than Brid and dual carriageway virtually to the beach. Bridlington/Fraisthorpe Quote
