To be fair the beach wasnt in the best of shape for a speed run as there were loads of damp patches, sure you,d have gone faster on a nice dry day mate:) Cheers, yeah the big swamps of water on the beach, didnt help went i was clocking in the 30+ and did the 36.5, recon i could of got the 40 mark if it wasnt for that, or a bit more wind, lol.... theres next time... dont forget the pics:D lol, he almost took out the whole group of us, "out of control" lol. Gray Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 The Garmin Fortrex and Forerunner series are ideal for kiting as they are wrist or bike mountable and really mall and light. You can pick tham up on ebay for around the £100 mark. Maybe less if you keep an eye out. Quote
BrianCalshot Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Got 30 mph on Southsea common whilst racing a car ...I was on Tarmac, got a major speed wobble, aimed the board at the grass, came off the damn board, no kitekillers and as the common is surrounded by road could not let go of the kite..got dragged a little hit a metal drain with my knee, threw up, went to hospital! moral of the story want to go fast ...wear protection!
