Ahhhh......what to buy? Its either a 3m Samurai with Silver Reef for £340 or 3m Samurai with Kheo Air-S for £355? Or get a Furnace Creek instead and spend the bit extra. What do you all think?

Personally i would spend the extra 15 pound and get the air-s because they are much better boards and can take a much better beat in than the other board i have had mine for 3 years and have only had to change 2 bearings and mine has taken some beats and is still going strong :D

I've got an Air-S and a mate's got a Silver Reef, and I prefer the Air-S. It's lighter and feels much smoother to ride. However, you need to take care of it. After not very long at all, when I pushed it along the ground it would steer quite a lot towards the heel side, as that's the side I favour, so I reversed the trucks. Also, after only a few months the pivot cups disintegrated to almost nothing, (though I had used it at the beach a few times and not cleaned it).

I've now had it about 8 or 9 months, and to look at it you'd think it was almost new, so they do withstand a fair hammering. Took the bearings apart the other day and some were in a poor state, some looked unused, but now they're all cleaned the board's riding very nicely again.

At the end of the day, whichever board you choose it'll likely last you a long time and you'll have great fun with it.
