Bigal Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Ahhhh......what to buy? Its either a 3m Samurai with Silver Reef for £340 or 3m Samurai with Kheo Air-S for £355? Or get a Furnace Creek instead and spend the bit extra. What do you all think? Quote
Invalid Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 got my silver reef and i love it...my personal preference of the kheo air-s is that its ugly:eek: never riden one though so I wont comment on how it responds to the Silver Reef.... -Ross Quote
AIR-S Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Personally i would spend the extra 15 pound and get the air-s because they are much better boards and can take a much better beat in than the other board i have had mine for 3 years and have only had to change 2 bearings and mine has taken some beats and is still going strong Rich:cool: Quote
justin1599968620 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Silver Reef just because i've got one and it rocks massively.......... Quote
BulletProof Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 i can vouch for the fact that the air-s is one very sweet board. resiliant too, it's built to last...unless you weigh 27 stone obviously Quote
Adrena1in Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I've got an Air-S and a mate's got a Silver Reef, and I prefer the Air-S. It's lighter and feels much smoother to ride. However, you need to take care of it. After not very long at all, when I pushed it along the ground it would steer quite a lot towards the heel side, as that's the side I favour, so I reversed the trucks. Also, after only a few months the pivot cups disintegrated to almost nothing, (though I had used it at the beach a few times and not cleaned it). I've now had it about 8 or 9 months, and to look at it you'd think it was almost new, so they do withstand a fair hammering. Took the bearings apart the other day and some were in a poor state, some looked unused, but now they're all cleaned the board's riding very nicely again. At the end of the day, whichever board you choose it'll likely last you a long time and you'll have great fun with it. Quote
nobby Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 would have to say air-s. but its personal preference really. Quote
Kitedeck Pimp Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Why not get a TRAMPA deck with the Scrub Sk8 trucks on it. Better than both boards you have been talking about. For a good deal check out www.terfware.co.uk and go to the industry page there is a cracking offer on there. Quote
