shaunie boy Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I've got standard flexi buggy standard wheels. Which are cool for the grass but I feel every bump on my local beach and at Greatstone. I was thinking of the ATV tyres from Coastguard kites and some thing like a snow hog on the front to eliminate understeer:o . Any experience of this kind of combination or advice appreciated:D Quote

cooperman Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Try this place first, good choice of tyres and wheels. http://www.flyinghigh.me.uk/index.html I've ordered stuff from Coastguard before, a Libre Vmax, Turf tyres, Roll bar and cover and offer of free Kheo T-shirt all in one order. Promised next day delivery but took a week for the Vmax to arrive following several phone calls and resending, further week for the tyres as out of stock (phone call would have been nice to let me know), then the roll bar finally turned up minus the cover. The cover took another month and about half a dozen phone calls (all by me, not once by Coastguard to keep me informed even though they promised several call backs). The T-shirt has never materialized even though they claim to have sent it several times with the last call saying it would be sent recorded delivery, that was about 3 weeks back. All in all I've been waiting 4 months for the complete delivery and have now conceded the T-shirt will never appear. Talk about customer service!! It's a shame really as several people have asked me about where the roll bar came from but how can I recommend they call Coastguard? Plus I've order a lot more equipment since but decided to go elsewhere and had no problems. Please note this is my own experience and perhaps I've just been unfortunate but it certainly has tested my patience. Sorry about the length of the reply and rant over. Cooperman. Quote
shaunie boy Posted September 12, 2004 Author Report Posted September 12, 2004 That is a shame Cooperman I got my Flexi buggy from Coastguard next day no probs. But that was in January this year it's pants them not telling you the stuff were'nt in stock when they took your money off you. good tyre site cheers Shaunie. Quote
Graham M Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 ive been using snow hogs on my small buggy recently on grass and they certainly grip but do throw muck in every direction so beware on the beach.i think i,ll end up using a snow hog on the front and standard barrows at the back.if you do put them on the back with the standard axle you run the risk of catching your lines on the knobblies .they look good but there is definately more rolling resistance. shaunie boy Posted September 14, 2004 Author Report Posted September 14, 2004 Cheers guys, Reading other threads regarding catching lines, elbowsand handles on the wider wheels with a standard axle, the wider axle upgrade is the way to go and chop and change when the conditions dictate. spend spend the missus loves me NOT Quote
