Yes definately, I have managed to get some good air with my 3.5 and 5.5 on the board and off. The 5.5 and 7 have slightly bigger AR's than the previous four kites and will lift you a bit eaiser, the 5.5 and 7 are really nice floaty kites.

To get air with the 3.5 or the 4.5 then you need to have the kite in quite strong wind, i've hathe 3.5 in 20-25mph and she has given me 4-5 foot jumps.

For static jumping I stand still swing the kite from one side to the other turn her back and race her up the centre of the window and when I feel the pull I jump it takes a bit of practice but it does work.

As for doin' it on the boards its the same principal really but instead of standing still you and the board are moving so you are doin' a pendulum jump. Swing the kite from one side to the other then up the centre of the window and jump at the same time lifting the board with you.

Its hard to explain but if you can watch someone else, or just keep practicing you'll get it soon.

Cheers:D

Hey Pete,

Bullets are great kites and you will get lift, however they are not designed for lift like the Blade is. I have boarded with Bullets and they are really coOl traction kites but if it is lift and Freestyle moves you want the Blade would be the better option. The 6.6 is a cool KITE that performs well in a wide wind range, but if you do get one, make sure you know it before you take it out in a strong wind as they can bite! :D But for power and lift they are the BISS!

They are not for everyone though and I know many boarders who use Bullets, but the Blade seems to be a special kind of kite when it comes to Freestyle jumping... Have Fun, Fly Safe :)

Hope this helped

If you want to try one and you are up my way give me a shout!

As neil b said the bullet and blade are different types of kites the bullet is easy to fly from the side and then through the middle before jumping.

However I have never managed to get a blade to do this as before it reaches the centre of the window inorder to turn up you are already being pulled off your feet superman style.

The blade for me at any rate lifts best either when static resting above your head, but thats dangerous becuase you have no control over when you jump, and the second is the good old pendulum jump.

Its horses for corses.

A 6.6 is a beast of a flyin' machine take it easy and respect the conditions and she should put a grin on your face.

Well yes in some respect, but with the kite directly forward of you straight after a jump could be dodgy in strong winds. Send it up to the Zenith when you want to jump, get the Air and then direct it toward the direction you want to go, but dont let it get to low in the window or it wil pull you off the board.

Maybe best just getting the airs and the float down then re-starting travel in the direction you wish to go until you get the feel of what is going on. Its good fun.

Try the http://www.kiteatb.co.uk site for basics and tricks its got some good pointers.:)
