rasga Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 As soon people may have noticed KiteATB.co.uk have had some issues today that were beyond our control, and that our hosts have now fixed at their end. The changes made will need time to propogate so it may be a gradual comeback for people (i.e you may be able to access it but your mate won't) Cheers Neil KiteATB.co.uk hank and Bob Monkhouse 2 Quote
Guest Nevermind Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Least you have made people aware, good on ya Craig Quote
mister_burns Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Aye, I had troubles yesterday afternoon and 1st thing this morning from 2 different places...work/home a change of ip and DNS Server syncing sound like a possible culprit to me, but that's speculation and we know that's baaaaaaaaad. Aye, nice to have it confirmed, keep up the good work admin~at~kiteATB.co.uk Quote
rasga Posted June 16, 2004 Author Report Posted June 16, 2004 Yeap, DNS issues at host end unfortunately, there was also an outage yesterday as well, but not for too long. Again Sorry folks! Quote
andylyon87 Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 my mate has had some problems with his host, they moved his files to a different server and screwed all his directories about, he was not best pleased Quote
Dabilsta Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 My browser was caching the URL. Clearing out your cookies seems to bring it right back. Which is handy as I was just getting invovled in the frenzy review. Rasga, have any of you guys flown a Windwing Skyfoil or Switch? Db Quote

rasga Posted June 16, 2004 Author Report Posted June 16, 2004 damnit Phil *cries* I want my KiteATB.co.uk back up, was looking forward to sorting out some bits to add to the site (got any ideas on things to work on?) Quote
Spike J Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Rasga, have any of you guys flown a Windwing Skyfoil or Switch? I have got the 330, 550 and the 770 skyfoil, dont think the switch is out yet. I find these kites are very stable, ideal for inland kiteboardig where the wind can be a bit lumpy, nice kit and well made, aspect ratio is 3.3:1 Quote
The Flyin Scotsman Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 The site is back up again now (for me anyway), myself and the rest of the team would like to apologise once again for any inconveniance caused by the downtime due to technical problems as Rasga said. Hopefully that will be the last of them for a while. (If not then sorry again, lol) Kev, KiteATB.co.uk P.S Check out the site again later for a Massive article giving breif descriptions of 34 boards currently on the market. Quote
Dabilsta Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 I have got the 330, 550 and the 770 skyfoil, dont think the switch is out yet. Thanks for the reply. I have a Blade 3 4.9 and was thinking of buying the 770 for light wind conditions. Are they good in those conditions? With regards to the switch, I have contacted Windwing and the switch is available, but Shaun Curran at Airjam (the UK dealers) and they said Windwing are tweaking it at the moment. There is talk of a conversion for the Skyfoil to depower, too. Db Quote
