fair enough... if your going to stitch it eventually then maybe that fishy smelling super glue what they made us use (sniff) at school would do the job, seem to remember that was quite flexible.

Failing that there's always ACME SUPER GLUE but be carefull once you stick with that stuff you are stuck for ever! :D

anyone know of a glue that will glue seatbelt webbing????

that way i can make a seat, glue it, then take it away to be stitched....

If you are looking for a temp glue then the best on the market without going into the specialist field is the Bostik SewSimple (ready to go in 1 minute and ideal for foil repairs also) Believe it or not you can acquire it from your local ASDA super store??? . With super glues or any other that set hard the problem then comes when stitching the item without breaking the needle on the machine as you penetrate the glue. Being 100% latex it's meant to last forever............anything with latex usually means I last 10 seconds:p :p :p

aryledyte (sp?) but then that will glue anthying! even water :D
I think you mean Araldite which is commonly a twin compound cement that goes hard when mixing the fixer & hardner. If you stick the webbing with the compound cements which go almost glass hard , it will be more difficult to push the needle through afterwards when stitching.

I would probably use a rubber cement but the other glues mentioned here could also work.

what about pins or large staples? i am not sure that they will hold if you are testing the seat with full load bearing tho so it may be best to ignore that one !
