I used to run Flexi KK's but found them a right pain when buggying, so I made my own.

Needed:

1 length shock cord (bungee)

2 mini springgates (clips)

1 small snap shackle

The shock cord runs from a loop at one end (with a clip connected through it) to the snap shackle, where it is larksheaded on, to a loop at the other end (with the other clip connected to it).

I then connect the two clips to the loops, that the brake line sleeving creates when attached to the leaders, one on each handle, then connect the snap shackle to my spreader bar. I've got a Peter Lynn swivel hook spreader, that has the main hook and also a small ring.

After reading this thread and others i had decided to get some kite killers. Well, the only problem was, and still is -'no money' .

The idea drifted from my mind as the light winds set in. However today i was rummaging through my garage and saw some roces skate bindings and thought to myself that they look awfully like killers just needed some modifications and some bungee cord.

It took 20 minutes in total.....(not counting the time it toolk me to figure out how to use the realllllly old singer sowing machine. Rapped some insulation tape round the stitches to prevent UV damage and just to make it look pretty:cool: .

The result is in the pic below

Just need to go and buy some bungee and im sorted. There relativly comfortable as well sitting around my gloved hand and seem to be up to the job.

Next on my shopping list is some insurance and probably proper kite killers, and a board. hell throw in a bego 600 and maybe a buster.
