NikB707 Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 I managed about 7 feet yesterday with my BIII 4.9. I can never tell exactly how high I jump, but my friends claim it was 7 feet ish. I had a lot of forward movement too. I felt as if I was in the air for quite a while. I'd just had the Bego out and the wind picked up a little, so i unpacked the Blade and was so suprised how high it took me! I think I need a wind meter so that I can tell how much wind there was. SkintMonkey Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 .........and broke my coccyx and had major ass bruising!! but all in the name of Luft!! so keep it real, fly SAFE and judge height to your sole with your soul! I think ive done the same....bloody painfull. However i was sitting on the edge of a buggies seat and rolling down a hill before we crashed backwards. Anyhow the winds just picked up and im gutted:( Quote
kitefreek Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 ow, breaking the coccyx musta hurt bad! just been flying, no wind at all, (left bego at home! )it was pretty boooring, got about 1ft air MAX! lol! Quote

ashy Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 my mate had a large jump with my old 4m firebee last summer.was blowin an absolute gale, and was sat down cos was knackered and my arms were coming out my sockets. Anyhow, out the corner of my eye saw my mate get launched. He was at least 10ft up, and he cleared a rounders square in distance. big jump! Quote

Chomfoil Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 just relised that the beamer dose give some lift because yesterday I did a jump about 5 foot high (I know its not that high) but it was in 5mph wind. My sister also done a jump about 2 foot but it was her second time flying ever. Chom:cool: Quote
Flexifan Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 hehe cool nice one. Quick note, all kites have potential jump-ability just depends if they've got enough wind to chew through. Quote
ashy Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 definitely. i've had some huge jumps with my bee.now got a blade 3 6.6, so just waiting for the conditions to be right and then its air time! Quote
kitedd Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 I dunno if this counts as a jump, but i was doing a kite surfing course down camber. Was flying a 12m Wipika was only about 7mph wind, really nice wind not this gust stuff. I park it over my head for a lil rest, when i looked down and was about 10ft off the ground, then suddenly floated back down. Dont know how it happened, i was trying to do it for the rest of the course, but i could. Damn that kite But with my bullet about been about 6ft up and DIDNT get dumped, it let me down nice and gently. was in about 15mph wind. Other than that, its just jumping out of trees, diving boards, and off of half pipes and rails. Quote

justin1599968620 Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 got s nice floaty 10 footer today by accident, not by a long way my biggest but it definitely rocked. Quote
Breezer Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Larst winter I went as high as 3 football goal posts how ever high that is? my friend has said. But when I did the jump I was to busy looking up trying to stop the kite from over flying or flying out of the window. The kite I was flying was a Blade mk3 6.6in about 12 to 16mph wind. But if you want my advice dont do it way to dangers you can have more fun with smaller kites. Take care live longer! Quote
