Hi

Does anyone know where i can get hold of some proper full disc racing wheels for my pogona, also if anyone happens to know will disc wheels work with the standard pogona fork?

Thanks

yep your right the forks are too small, now this is going to be tricky, it is the same amount of money to either upgrade the pogona to the standard i want, or to buy a iguana and put 1 upgrade on it. This is going to take a lot of thinking...

having looked at the picture of a pogona on cameleons' web site, i doubt that disks will fit on the standard forks

my iguana has much longer forks to accommodate disks...

but i still had to make custom spacers for the front and buy bigfoot bolts for the rear as they are quite a bit wider than barrow wheels

[edit] sell the pogona & buy a real buggy :p ;) [/edit]

easier said than done at £770

plus £285 for the disks

but seriously, i wouldnt bother with disks unless you only buggy on grass and compact sand

i dont regret buying mine for one minute but do regret selling my atv's as i cannot play on the soft stuff :(

keeps your eyes peeled on this forum...

i bought mine for under £500 & it had only been used a couple of times

a m8 of mine bought an identical one for a similar price 6 months later

the trouble is, things are rarely for sale when you want one; then, just when you've splashed out on something else, half a dozen come up at the same time  :o

well ive seen 3 pogona's (ever) for sale thats what ive seen im not saying thats al ltheres been in say the last 2-3 yrs and ive not noticed any iguanas (yet :)) and 3 libre full races, so best work towards a new one that way if one cuomes up ill hav spare £££ but ive just got (well about to) another job as a lifeguard so i should be gettin around 200 a month in skool time so i guess its not to far outa reach. only time will tell

237euro plus shipping for a set of three. http://www.buggywielen.nl They also supply extended bolts and are probably the cheapest even with shipping.

Incidently, could you not just make up a set of extension plates to provide additional clearance for the front disk? Two plates of stainless should be a touch cheaper than a new front end!

Good luck

i would just buy a iguana but the thing is i have only had the pogona for a little while and i live at least a couple of hours away from the nearest beach so all i will be seeing is grass..., my problem is that to get the same spec buggy it would be the exact same amount of money as if i was to buy a new iguana... thanks for the help but this is going to take a lot of hard thinking...

Don't Cameleon have some second hand buggies on their website? Obviously they will be on the continent, but you could make a good excuse for camping by some huge hard beach in France, or Belgium, or Denmark or...., to break it in after you collect it :)

NotaHuwjars, which one am i supposed to be looking at as the translator wont traslate most of it and i dont speak a word of , well i dont quite know what language it is to tell you the truth. Do you know what it all means?

ok well i have been told that it is dutch ( i was looking at something about trailer wheels), does anyone know where you can get the type with spokes i usualy see ones with gold rims does anyone know where to find them?

Greg,

I find the Dutch really helpful if you email them. Most of them can speak English and as mention in other replies there are translators online.

If memory serves, the gold rimmed spoked wheel used to be made or supplied by a site called Trevorsbuggystuff based in the Southwest. I'm sure someone out there knows the new name. These wheels used to made for grasstrack sidecars I think and look fantastic with or without the disk covers however they weren't cheap.

Good luck

oh right i didnt realise it was the same person... do you know his username?

i have e-mailed him so i am just waiting for a reply now... so does everyone think i should go for the iguana? is it really that much better than the pogona?

as far as i'm aware they are motorcross sidecard wheels dude.. do look very nice but will need to put covers over em to stop A peeps getting caught in em... B footpegs/poles/trees getting stuck in em and damaging em.. also remember as they are bike wheels with spokes they will buckle on a good bang so would need true'ing after a half decent OBE :D.. when i had my fullrace i had a hours play on some discs and was great fun on the grass,, much easier to get rolling, and loads more grip on turns :D,,untill it raind :D :D
