I made a board this morning out of 12mm standard ply. no idea what to expect. i wanted a fast board for light wind so i thought i'd have a go,assuming being totally flat it would be fast. does anyone use ply boards curretly if so how do you get on? not gonna use fins to start with as i dont have any.

Cheers!

rocker doesnt determine speed, thats low end and all that, stiffness and flex determines speed

been out all day in the sunshine on swansea bay today. had a great day on the new ply board, rips upwind, nice and fast and had no issues with having no fins.

More pix on the web site...

Got another one in the pipeline which will be a bit more exotic...

Will feature more bamboo, less ply & hopefully will have paulownia top & bottom skins - if I can ever get my hands on some...
