tom82 Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 Hi all! Was hoping someone could answer a quick question for me: Would the bar I bought for my 4.5 Bullet (65cm) work properly with a Blade 2/3?? To put this into context, I want to pick up a 2nd hand Blade to supplement my Bullet for landboarding use primarily, and I'm hoping to be able you my shiny new bar with the Blade. Will this be straight forward?? Also, I guess I could do with some recommendations about what is preferable out of the new and slightly older Blades. I think that the B3 has more power per metre than the B2, so I am probably deciding between a B2 ~6m and a B3 4.9m. Would these seem equivalent?? I've heard totally conflicting stories about how stable the B3 is, so I'm tempted to go for a B2 since just about everyone agrees it is a classic kite! Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!! Tom. Quote
tom82 Posted January 27, 2004 Author Report Posted January 27, 2004 Com'on guys! I know it's a bit of a tedious question, but I need an answer before I can make any more purchases!! I asked in my local Flexi supplier, but they didn't really have a clue... Quote
Sky-Blu Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 yep, the bar would be fine. anything bigger than a 4.9 blade will start to need a bigger bar though as it'll need that bit extra to turn it faster. 4.9m and below will turn very nicely Quote
RedHotChili1599968600 Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I'll second that, I fly my 4.9 Blade 3 on a Bullet bar with no probs, they are a very good bar.. Quote
peteb303 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 It dosn't matter which bar you use it's the size that counts. Flexifoil sell the 60cm bar with the 3 & 4 M Blade's. Anything above comes with the 65cm bar. I have a bar on my 3m blade and i love it. Quote
Sky-Blu Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 watch out for some of the carbon kitesurf ones though. some arent designed to take the load at the ends of the bar. if its not a dedicated 2 line bar then check the leader knots inside the bar are soild and ask the shop if it'll take the load. flexi ones are fine though, certainly no probs there but as ever, size does matter Quote
