I did have athread for this, but what the hell.

Buggying and got the kite behind me as I was turning, sharp gust of wind, arm wrenched, dissed shoulder, sat there thinking 'this hurts'.

Some kind peeps flying a Wipika helped us out with my gear and drove us up the ossie.

I took my old storm 10m out in silly winds on the land. was running along with it on its side so as to do a large pendulum jump, tuned it skyward but at the same time a huge gust came along a whipped me at least twenty feet up in to the air. i got scared at stop looking at the kite - stupid move ! cos that is the last thing i remember until my girlfriend brought me back round and then she told me to stand up cos she was worried, i was so dazed that i fell straight over again and broke my little finger... ouch ! I then spent the night in the hospital having a brain scan.

oh the joys of kiting. I now have a blade II 9.0m so it has been nice knowing you cos the winds are strong again.

Is that a good enough story for you?

ok heres my story

i was buggying with a few friends at our local park. we buggy on the grass most of the time. but that day the wind dir was letting us buggy on the dirt road next to the grass field. dirt road= more speed. the road was only one lane wide. well my friend was going in one dir. i was going the other dir. just as we were going to pass each other. a gust came up and my friend slide sideways into me at about 20mph.. he rode over the top of my front fork. breaking off a foot peg socket. and bending the fork. next in line was my chest. which his back wheel hit me with. i got 3 broken ribs. i got hit so hard that i bent one seat rail and the back axle. the buggy was peter lynn comp.

yep injuries are goin to happen had three one of which i dont remmember pulled up to talk to a friend next thing woke up on the beach apparently having been pulled 30 ft across the beach.

second time a freind came to film me on the mountain board the wind was lumpy and in what looked the least spectacular of accidents i fell off forward broke the ball of my shoulder nasty impact fracture looked like an egg hit by a spoon in the xray. my own stupid fault really

And finally i took up kite surfing bought the kite the wet suit the board but got fed up getting cold feet so bought some neoprene boots. After a lovely fly with toasty feet i came back in thought id come scud up to my bag. Bad idea as i started scudding the boot didnt rolling my feet up into the neck of the boots sort of like having your feet crushe length ways in a vice breaking my toes. unfortunatly for me i live in the midlands and had to drive all the way back from brancaster. painful gear changes.

All this make me a muppet but valuyable lessons were learned for me and my friends wich prevented other nasty injuries. The trick is wear the safety gear and be aware of your suroundings your the pilot your resposible.

its good its my weapon of choice can fly it up to about 25 mph maybe a bit more just right for freestyle buggying not too fast in the turn and generates good lift. also nice on a mountain board. If given the choice id fly a blade 3 6.6 and 8.5 for the better perfomance and faster turns hope t o get an 8.5 soon but money short at the mo.

remember a 6.4 can create a lot of traction start in a light wind and work your way up. if you need convincing that this is a good idea read the accident thread in the chi chat forum
