Just got a bar for my Blade III as was previously flying with handles - Have just attached to the bar (the proper flexifoil balde III one) but the brake lines look extremely long - just wondering if these need to be adjusted as they are only really used for the safety system. Just wondering if anyone out there has done similar and what was the best way to do it.

Cheers for any help anyone can offer:confused:

the brake lines will be quite loose, do not need ajusting though, the safety will work just fine when it kicks in. If you still not sure about it, just do a controlled test, fly the kite in nice open space with no people around and try letting go of the bar, the kite will gently drop to the ground...easy...

I don't know, but am interested as I was thinking of getting one. You didn't have to change the bridle did you first?

As a guess i think the break lines have to be longer so that if you let the bar go you've got about 2 foot before the safety system cuts in. As i said i dunno . Hope you find out

Yup,

The brake lines kick in only in an emergency and work well. There was a system for a BladeII calle VPS or VPL... sommat like that, which would apply brakes when you pulled the bar towards you but tat has not nd possibly will not be devloped for the Blade III.

Enjoy...

the blade 2 vps is NOT a safety system

its variable power system

u change the bridle so that wen u pull the bar 2wards u it changes the aoa and powers up the kite

wen u push the bar away from u it depowers it (but dusnt bring it to the ground)

big difference btween that and a normal bar
