nuggs Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 After a disappointing afternoon down the local park, I managed to have my Blade 2 7.8 luff and then fall out of the sky on what started out to be a good run on the board, straight into a tree. A meter either way would have meant it would have been OK but unfortunately in getting it out of the tree (nightmare bridle/branch tangle) it has got a split centre seam. Has anyone had experience of repairs from Flexi, and are they good. Gonna send it back tomorrow. At least the 4m is available still as we go into winter!! Cheers Nuggs Quote
HD462 Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Luckily I've never had to use them, but people always comment on how good the repairs are. I remember a guy posting a pic of his Blade totally torn in half, and they fixed it good as new. Prices are supposed to be very good too, with a quick turnaround time. Quote
The Flyin Scotsman Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 I had flexi repair my 2.5 bullet and got Paul at http://www.kiterepairs.co.uk to repair my 3.3m Blade1 service from both was fast, high quality and has lasted ever since in great condition. Kev Quote

nuggs Posted September 30, 2003 Author Report Posted September 30, 2003 Nope, been flying for about 18 months or so, just had a bad wind day and made a mistake.......... and feel pretty daft for doing it!! Never mind, we live and learn. As for winter, I have the 4m blade for that, and I might even get a smaller kite for the silly days!! Cheers for now Quote
acehigh Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Hi mate! Sorry to hear about the kite. Last year I had a nice rip in my 14m storm, those nasty shells. Sent it of for repair to Flexi, they phoned me to give me a quote. Was expecting a big one, but they said they could patch it for around £15 or sew a new panel in for £35, including return delivery from city link, had it back with in a week. Kites as good as new and I have got Flexi kites ever since.. Quote
nuggs Posted September 30, 2003 Author Report Posted September 30, 2003 Just had the call from Flexi............it's gonna be £41.50 incl carriage to repair the blade, not too bad, but enough to remind me in the future to be careful where I dump the kite!! Laters Quote

acehigh Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 No I was over there between 1100 to 1330 in the afternoon, not sure who that would have been! I normally fly a gray & black blade or a purple & gray bullet. Quote
