Ben3003 Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 probably going to get a bullet 3.5 or 4.5 m kite but unsure how the bar works!!! does it work like a kitesurfing kite, where you have to wear a harness and pull to power up and relax to de-power? Cheers P.S no tech terms please..... i am a beginner if u hadn't noticed! Quote
jtr999 Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 there are two choises: the bullet bar has a kite killer for youre arm,and a strop for youre harness. if you putt the kite killers on youre arm you can't depower the kite. But you can putt the strop on youre harness soo you can rest youre arms a litllebit. Or you can putt the kite killer on youre harness (it's not made for it but you can do it) and than you can depower it and you can rest youre arms. Quote
wakeupandfly Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 it wont depower like that, it will just pull on the brakes when you depower (push bar awayt) a kitesurf kite it changes the angle of attack and the kite will speed up and give less power. powering up (pulling bar in) slows the kite down and gives more power if you set the bullet like this pulling the bar in will make it fly and letting it out will stop it completly, it will collapse and land. The harness will not be doing anything The bullet bar has a strop to put onto your harness and a wrist leash so if you let go of the bar the kite will land with little power Tom Quote
