christinner Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Ive been tinkering around with the three spring settings on my scrub furnace creek trucks to find out which settings work best for me. I find that I can put more pressure heelside than toeside, and ive found that having the springs set to different positions gives me similar handling for toe and heelside turns!! I have the toeside springs set to the inside position and the heelside set to the middle position. Is there any reason why I shouldn`t have different settings? Quote
windy Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 your set up should be ok. the only problem i encountered when doing similar tinkerings (not with a furnace creek though.) was that if i had the heel side spring set close to the truck and the toe side set furthest away from the truck, i found on a tight heel side turn the toe side spring would actually come out of its housing and nearly drop off the board:eek: Quote
christinner Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Cheers for your input Windtalker:) spring would actually come out of its housing and nearly drop off the board I will keep a watchful eye on my springs when i do a tight turn and an eye on the kite and an eye on the terrain and............
