Just watched the video and it looked great. I was wondering how high you take the buggy upto? I jump in a parastorm buggy and have managed to reach heights of about 12ft.

I notice you come from the King's Lynn area which means that you must buggy at Hunstanton and Brancaster a lot. Do you want to meet up one weekend and compare jumping techniques?

Hey Ant

You must have been really over powered to get a buggy as heavy as the Parastorm to that hight... In my experience i have found the 6ft feels like 12ft... I've been to highs of about 15ft for longths of about 30m just before Christmas last year... Mad day and that was on a 4.9 blade 2... I was at brancaster today but was dissapointed in the wind wished i had stayed in bed. Should have been there yesterday.

I was flying an 8.5m Blade III when I was reaching those heights, and yes I was a bit overpowered. I have it all on video as well. I was at Brancaster on Sunday and the wind was pretty bad but it did start to pick up about 5.30, I managed to get the parastorm about a foot off the ground ( but that was with a 10.5m Blade III really working it hard!!) Which buggier were you, maybe we bumped into each other without even realising it.

You missed a great day on Saturday though. I was jumping about 5 or 6 feet off the ground with a 4m, and managed to get to 42.6mph!

Cheers Kev for your hospitality at Stevenston I do remember who you are. Say hello to your dad for me. You missed a great day on Monday, I was there all day jumping with the 4.9m untill I ended up in the patch of thorns in the middle of the field!!!

that soo cool. you guys buggying together. in estonia we have max 4 buggiers I think. so we dont run into each other when we go buggy. but tell me about the straps you use to get your butt firmly into the buggy so you jump with the buggy not without. without the buggy it would be cool too. going at high speeds and jump out, do a 360 or something and land back in:)

Hi guys,

As my name keeps getting mentioned on this thread, I thought the least I could do was post a reply! :p

Pete - 4.9's a top-tastic size for jumpin with esp now Flexi have made their kites fast enough to turn (lol :p). It can be argued that the larger, the higher and longer, but in a good wind, 17-20mph+ , 5mtrs are so quick and snappy it's a lot more thrilling than a lazy (dare I say easy :) ) jump on a bigger canopy.

So, who's comin down to Ho! later this month? .... hopefully get some autumn winds and some BIGUP's :)) ...I want to see this parastorm off the ground too; Some machines just weren't built to fly ! lol.

I've still got to work out how to fly this 10 Rhea I've just bought ... anyone used one with a buggy b4?... got any tips?

well, he was jumping on Saturday until he sold his kite! lol.

...left the field open for me on the Sunday - cheers mate; Got some nice air that day, shame you had to sit it out, hehe!! (try not to sell them at Ho! yeah?!)

Hey Andy

I've been jumping for abput 3 years now... I'm not any shorter and no back injuries really to speak of... I have got alot of cares and stress in this world being self employed so if i hurt myself i'm knackered.... But when ur in the air ur free, it's quite.... NO engin noise just the wind and sometimes the brown smoke trail comming from my arse... lol ;P

I know the parastorm buggy was designed as a speed machine ( and the speed you can get out of it is impressive!) but I just couldn't help jumping with it. Within the first week of buying it I had taken it upto about 7 ft and on the landing I badly damaged the back axle. The arm that holds the suspension set up in place had taken such a beating that it had torn a gash in the back axle and if I had used it anymore would probably have caused a lot more damage. Keiron Bradly (the designer) was kind enough to fix it for me and to also reinforce the suspension arms and back axle so that it could handle my jumping with it. I still check it after every jumping session just in case anything else has been damaged.

It is a very heavy buggy and I am no small guy either (no **** taking coments...Craig!), so it does take a lot of kite and hard effort to get the whole lot airborn! But it is worth it just for the adrenaline rush!!!!!

Keep Flying

I also intend to join you and gain some tips.

I have tried it a couple of times but as you can see from my kit list there aint a lot that can get me off the ground! With any luck my 4.9 Blade III will turn up before Ho!

Richy303 - Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the X-Zone this weekend as I have work commitments. I am sure we will meet up soon at another venue where you can see the parastorm airborn (maybe even try it out for yourself). I have attached a picture of the buggy in flight.

Hope to meet you soon,

Ant
