stundies Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 I am new to this adiction and was wondering where I can obtain third party liability insurance incase anything ever happens whilst flying the kite on the beach / field. Does everybody use a standard company or is there a few to choose from? Who are the best? Cheers. Quote
BigDavey Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 The best way to do this is join one of the kiting bodies in the UK - You'll get better rates through them rather than going as an individual. There are also a few other perks - discount at a number of kite shops being one http://www.thekitesociety.org.uk http://www.stackuk.org The latter also permits you to enter their competitions. Hope this helps. Gotta fly! Quote
boggled_iam Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 Try the bbc www.britishbuggyclub.co.uk These are used by a lot of the members on here. Boggled? Quote
Draggin Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 Try Avon Kite flyers or Midland Kite flyers, they are two major UK kite sports clubs that offer insurance, but be warned. I am a member of the Avon Kite flyers, and question were asked about the satic flying blades (and other large folils) and the reply from the inusrance company was you are covered providing your feet do not move! e.g no skudding or jumping or running after the kite Tim Quote
Guest The_Guru Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Try Sports cover Direct - http://www.sportscoverdirect.com/ They have different levels of insurance, and the prices aint too bad either Quote
