Fat Bloke Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I'm currently using a Naish waist harness; love it to pieces but am getting fed up with it smashing me in the ribs on big gusts. Obviously switching to a sit harness will stop this but i'm concerned that it will limit my movement. Any ideas: switch to sit - if so which one ? or just accept bruised ribs and the hook stuffed up my nose ? PS I,ve checked with the suppliers and it is the right size for me -" they all do that mate.............." Quote
goshen1599968577 Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Most people I know use Seat harnesses. A freind of mine has a waist, but he wants to switch to a seat because it always rides up on him. It won't limit your movement (at least I've had no problems so far ) But it is a little different, so may take some getting used to. Goshen http://www.kitepower.com.au Quote
petey Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 If you want to stop your waist harness riding up then you have to crank it up real tight. Do it up to where you normally would and then just suck it in and crank a bit more. You can also try one of the Dakine spreader pads - so when it does lift a bit you're not gonna pop a rib. Quote
muppetdude1599968590 Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 ...................it doesnt really matter ive seen seats and waists pulling 30 feet deadman borad offs i jest not Quote
Fat Bloke Posted May 30, 2003 Author Report Posted May 30, 2003 Thanks for the imput guys. I've tried cranking it right up; works fine while actually riding, or if the wind isn't too naughty, but still rides up (normally with an almighty bang) when it's gusty/strong. as I've only got short arms it gives me real probs. Seems waist harnesses just aren't for me:( PS the Frenzy is here: but no wind .................................. Quote
