Guest eddiehill Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 http://forestkiting.2ya.com To everybody who loves kiting I would like to reiterate Bladez's thread on the kite get together. What he meant to say was we would like to organise a kiting day or weekend with plenty of kiting, some live music, food and beer with hopefully a bit of wind. To organise this though, we need an idea of the number of you guys and your buddys who would like to attend such an event and how much you mite be willing to contribute to the rental of some land etc. Please follow the link to our website and click on the CONTACT US hyper link. Leave your e-mail address and any sugestions you have for the propsed event. I hope that we can get something organised but numbers are going to be what gets the event going! Ed Quote
jock128 Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 well if its any help I can guarantee that 5 of us would go and if this is any further help, I study at a college called Rose Bruford in London (http://www.bruford.ac.uk) on a BA (Hons) Lighting Design course and myself and a few of my course mates would be more than happy to provide the sound, light, stage, anything else on the tech side for cost price plus operate it all for free. If this is any help PM me. Ta Joss Quote
Guest eddiehill Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Would like to hire some land around the new forest off the m27 somewhere so it is easily accessible ed Quote
jonnybfive Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I'm in a band and would quite happily provide the music. We're called Blunt and our style has been compared to Reef, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Chilis etc etc. Funky blues rock with a DJ scratching and firing samples! Our DJ would also provide additional music too for the early hours. We have a 6K music rig we can provide too. When were you thinking?? Quote
Joelio Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Couple of bands at school would probably be up for providing some music - they both gig in and around Cheltenham and have played at various local music festivals. I could probably get a few guys together + band members down to the place. Lemme know if you want ne more info about the band. Quote
