thefloatinfatman Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 http://www.kitezone.co.uk/news/newsmenu.html then choose reviews, but there are more to be found on other sites as well. Would be a good place to start? more info if you start at the root of the site http://www.kitezone.co.uk Regards TFF Quote
blade3k Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 If you have had good experience with a buggy a libre of some kind would be good. For buggying, the razors are a brilliant kite for buggying but if you want to have a blade, depending on your wait a 3 m bladeII is good, but if not you could get a 4. Quote
Ozone Razor Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 couldn't recommend a better kite 2 be honest m8. I was racin with my 2.5m, friday evenin with a guy using a 3m Blade and i won lol. Take FFM's advice and read the review on Kitezone Regards Rich. Quote
Chris-Aer Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 It certainly is a good kite for buggying, I recall using one a Wallop last year that was a bit slow, but it was about half full (I kid you not) of water at the time, made it a bit sluggish There are many other good buggy kites you could use and which one is best probabily depends a lot on your flying style, so try before you buy (its been said before, so it must be a good idea) Quote
adrenmike Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 little devil and razors are cool so are blades, but razor or ld best for buggy flown all three and found ld most forgiving, razor ther fastest but fell out of the sky when u get it wrong, blades are cool if u want to do other activities but will punish when u get it wrong. To the point how much u got to spend???? the real issue and how far do u want to go with the sport. Once youv've blasted down a beach or field turned and blasted back UUU will want more so think of that too Quote
Symo Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 OK, My beautiful darling wife has agreed to let me have another kite for my b'day. Did a poll a while back and the Razor won as the kite to buy. What size though? I already have a 3m blade2. Would a 4.5 razor be the next best upgrade? Quote
Agger Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 Personally I'd have the 3.5 I have one and it's awesome. :D :D I was told it is the best of the bunch by MJ Eaton, who should know. Quote
Symo Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 3.5 instead of 4.5 ? Bearing in mind I have a 3mblII? Also the area of the razor appears to be 3.8m2 not 4.5 which appears to refer to length wingtip to wingtip. Anyone else trying to make or has made the same choice? Quote
burgy Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 I'd go for the 4.5. Its a lovely kite. I was trying to think of which size is my favorite but I dont think I can. There all very sweetin there own ways. One word of warning though. If you get the 3.5 you'll never fly your blade again Steve Quote
Symo Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 Yeah As that 3m bld2 was a present from her I would be in Schtuck for weeks if it never came out again Quote
blade Posted January 27, 2003 Author Report Posted January 27, 2003 i have decided to get a 3.5 razor or 4.5, not sure yet?? i have a blade 4m, but there is too much lift for buggying probab;y a libre special buggy, if i have enought money!! thanks for the reply Blade Quote

Adrunpants Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Ma Beautilful wife Told me to sod off if I think I am buying any more kites!! tis alright for some Quote
gandhi Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 ah well guys, no wife, no worries, and my 8.5 razor should be here on saturday or monday!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!! Bring on summer when I can actually fly the feckin thing. Btw I seem to be suffering some sort of repetitive strain injury in my right wrist p.s. I have a 3.5m as well and i love it to bits, except for the time it nearly killed me at saunton! lol Quote
