I got myself a new sting this week and took it out today.

Highly Disapointed.

The reviews said it can handle high winds - tested to 50mph.

It was very windy but no where near that!!!

Literally 15 seconds in BANG the handle gives way - the line is pulled out of the hole. Thankfully i could see they were cheap ass handles so I had a much sturdier set from another kite. They were fine.

Then on the next attempt - 15seconds in POP the line snaps!!!:mad: - I had a set of peter lynn lines with me that I put on - the kite was fine then.

When you pay £140, even for an entry level kite, this is pretty disapointing.

Has flexifoil, like all companies, started to let quality slip or have i missed something with my expectations? - bearing in mind i havnt touched a kite in about 8 years!

To upgrade the lines is like another £30-£50.:mad::mad:

That's not good, did you complain to Flexifoil?

My several year old Blurr and handles are still going strong. Maybe they make the Sting down to a price, but you still would expect better than that.

don't stings come with thin 18metre lines

I have an old rasta 3.3 sting and the first thing I did was put a heavy duty set of strings on and strong handles , and I've had out in big sand rolling winds and never had a problem
