Karlos101 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 So, i have pulled a old old Cabrinha switchblade 9M out the bag and the kite is fine but the lines are a little .. worn i would say, i would rather replace them that regret it! Question is! ... i cant find anywhere with a good guide on what strength line to use, i do have a set of lines new laying about but i cant for the life of me remeber what strength they are. Does anyone have a guide to line strength to use and even some links on where they buy line from. THANKS! Quote
kitesurfandy Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 powerkite shop ozone do a set of 4 x 500kg breaking strain ! and will last a long time ! 80 odd quid last time i checked Quote
Karlos101 Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 wouldnt 500kg lines be quite thick? i have some 340KG lines and some 460KG (advertised strength) the 340KG lines look exactly the same thickness as the ones i want to replace, the 460 ones are quite abit thicker than them. this is going to affect kite preformance i expect. im no PRO so i dont jump often and when i do its not high lol so i wouldnt say i Stress the lines a whole bunch Thanks for the Reply. skimmer Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Anything above 300kgs will do. Give the guys at kitesurf center a call. They make various sizes n strengths lines. Quote
