are we still using BPKA for insurance

Ok , was going to suggest BKSA, but guess you could join SPKA then!! Same Insurer as BPKA, but all the disciplines covered :-)

I use SPKA, first time around got my key fob the next day, on renewal I got a courtesy email the day after paying saying there would be a 4 week delay getting me my key ring as he was in France but confirmed I was on cover. 4 weeks later, just as he said...it arrived. Excellent service!

Same here membership expired on the 27th of August, have gone to BKSA.

Thanks done with SPKA wow that was easy .would just like to thank BPKA for years of cheap insurance and good service.

Of course they don't pay out unless you have video evidence of you kitesurfing in a kilt (no wetsuit allowed) in February, but that's hardly a big deal, eh?

Mine ran out last year and no reminder, and as other years took time to come with using snail mail. I joined BKSA and had everything through the net few days.

I have had no official notification, but I have to assume that BPKA has fallen by the wayside and is no more. Ian Meredith, as the original BBC, created the novel idea, a club that was not a club, but provided a service to allow buggy folk to get insurance.

My BBC/BPKA No:79, give you an idea of how long in the tooth I am:) I like many am now with the SPKA. Great service and cover.

The BBC/BPKA were the leaders for buggy folk, but things rarely last forever.

Both SPKA and BKSA cover land and water, with the second more to the wet stuff, a lot of ex BPKA going to SPKA, Your choice?

BKSA (now British Kitesport Association) covers all disciplines, including kitecats and has been running comps and negotiating access for buggiers and landboarders for more than a few years. Also the only kitesport body recognised by the sports council.

The sports council of England & Wales? It's different up here, we're out of their jurisdiction, they can't touch us! Mwahahahahha!!!!
