After a beach session I tend not to tightly roll the kite and get it home and set up a dehumidifier on it. Don't have alot of space in the flat so its the best I can do! Best way is if you have the space is to hang it up.

is this for leaving in th ebag for a long time? Ive never actually dried a kite, I do usually get out weekly. Ive never had one fall apart either. I do wash my bar and lines out as often as poss however.

I just roll my kites loosely and leave them draped over a wooden pallet (stood up on its side), even in winter they are bone dry within 48 hours...usually 24 hours if they are not soaking wet.

Kites dry really quickly as long as air can get to them.

Some do,some don't. I prefer to dry mine as kites aren't cheap and i don't get to go every weekend. It's no real effort or hardship to hang my kites up after a session. I did read that kites wet from seawater don't go moldy.

I normally shove mine in the loft standing in plastic boxes so water doesn't run out everywhere. Couple of days like that and then get rid of the water in the bottom and turn em over. Leave them to dry like that then. Dry for the weekend again then. Usually give them a once over in spring - hose them down and hang them out to dry. They pretty much dry crispy and like new again.

First of all if its not raining and yourve crashed you kite in the water. the better thing to do is fly it for 10-15 mins and it will dry. If its raining and no chance of drying. I re-inflate it in my garage and walk away. the next morning i have a dry kite. But i have a big garage.

I think the idear was if u don't hav much room and if it's not raining and the beach is dry then u would not hav a problem in the first place:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Dump them out the bag in the spare room with dehumidifier on - along with any wetsuits that need drying. I've got black & white kites this year (not my idea!) & so far no colour run at all :) Most stuff dries completely overnight with this method & stops the house or car getting damp from wet gear. Plus dry wetsuit for the next days session!

i hang mine in the garage too but i have a length of drainage pipe 30 odd mm, i leave the struts inflated and thread the plastic pipe between the canopty and the struts then the pipe hangs on 2 storage hook in my garage from the ceiling joists like a curtain, its perfect and if im really fussy i put a groundsheet down so the water can be disposed of after. Only any good if you have a garage though, unless you could do something similar over the bath??
