russ_kent Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 You're damn right you couldn't persuade me, it's FREEEEEEEEZING out there full stop let alone in a northerly. This is supposed to be a hobby not an endurance test. Quote
yugga Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 each to their own matey!! i had some fun winter session last year so will go again if over 5 degrees. Probably not this year though!! Headed to Whitstable on Sun with flat mate. Was pretty parky! There was nobody on water so didnt brave it. Would have if i had another kiter with me. Messed about with foil and landboard on the grass on top of the hill. Good fun. i d say clean wind 15 knots. then went for a stroll around the harbour, fish n chips and a glass of wine. and a game of bowling at whitstable lanes!! Quote
russ_kent Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 You remember January this year when we went out at Minnis Bay in -2 in 5 mill wetsuits? So do I, I'm retiring gracefully back to landboarding on Blackheath until it warms up. I prefer a situation where only a serious impact will kill me, it would be hopefully quick and relatively painless, I'd hate to be finished off by freezing water temperatures :-) Quote
daztheginge Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 pair of big girls blouses... went out last week. -1 deg -14 wind chill 5mm wettie stonking. :-) Quote
